PLAYOFFS UPDATE

Playoff pairings and schedule is posted. Games will be played on Wednesday, October 9th and all but the championship and 3rd place games on Saturday, October 12th.

Matchups will be by seeds with 1v4, 2v3 in top tier final four. Seeds 5v8 and 6v7 will play in next tier. Winner and losers of each tier will play on the weekend with top tier games on Sunday and next tier games on Saturday.

The #9 seeds season is complete as they have met the eight-game season minimum and are the odd team out.

Championship Game will be played on Sunday, October 13th at 1:00 PM at Blaine HS Stadium.

3rd Place Game will be played Sunday, October 13th at 11:00 AM on the Blaine HS Practice Turf Field adjacent to Blaine HS Stadium.

8/28: Games times have been adjusted due to game conflict for SLP as 10:00 am and 1:00 pm games have been flipped.

2024 Game Report

SCHEDULE NOTES

1. This is an 9-team league that will play a seven-game regular season. Not all teams will play the same league teams due to the odd number of teams this season. 

2. With nine teams each round may include a bye date.

3. This is a partial single round-robin schedule plus a bowl game the weekend of Oct 12-13.

4. Wednesday, October 9th will serve as a pseudo semi-final for the top four teams to qualify for the Bowl Championship Game on October 13th. Losing teams play a bowl game on Sunday, October 13th .

5. Other teams will play a bowl game on Wednesday, October 9th and Saturday, October 12th.

6. The odd team out from an end of year seed 8 vs seed 9 matchups will not qualify for a bowl game on Saturday due to the odd number of league teams. If the 9 seed has also completed eight games its season will end with no bowl game.

COACHES INFORMATION

1. The posted schedule is the official league schedule for all games. This year you will need to post your schedule to your association team page if you want to.  Please share with your team and families.

2. If you are not already, please become a member of the NMYFL web site so you can have access to league updates, special messages and access to reporting game scores.

3. Review all rules of play for your grade level and direct your coaching staff and families to review as well. We play by different rules at different grades and everyone needs to be aware of the differences.

4. Please carry a copy of the league rules with you on game day in case there are questions on game management.

5. This is a league information site for hosting league information, posting results, tracking league standings as well as promoting youth football and youth sports. This is not a team site. See your local association for team web site information.

7. If you have anything to share about your game please file a game report with the NMYFL. Go to your grade page and there is a Game Report to file. This report is for good or bad news from a game and can be used by coaches, officials, and league representatives.
